Super Air Amplifier

EXAIR's Super Air Amplifiers are patented devices designed to reduce compressed air usage while significantly increasing ambient air amplification. They achieve this by producing a uniform, focused, high-velocity blast of air that draws in surrounding air, resulting in an amplified output. These amplifiers are highly effective for applications like ventilation, air circulation, and cooling hot parts.

A Super Air Amplifier™ efficiently draws in large volumes of surrounding air by using a minimal amount of compressed air to generate high-volume, high-velocity outlet flows through a fixed air gap. By employing the Coanda effect, a fundamental principle of fluid dynamics, these Air Amplifiers offer a straightforward and cost-effective solution for air circulation, moving smoke, fumes, and light materials. They also serve as effective blowers for cooling, cleaning, and drying parts or processes, and in dust collection applications at workstations.

Quiet and efficient, Super Air Amplifiers can create output flows up to 25 times their consumption rate. Both the vacuum and discharge ends of the Air Amplifier can be ducted, making them ideal for drawing fresh air from another location or for removing smoke and fumes.

How Air Amplifiers Work

Compressed air flows through the air inlet (1) into an annular chamber (2). It is then throttled through a small ring nozzle (3) at high velocity. This primary airstream adheres to the Coanda profile (4), which directs it toward the outlet. A low pressure area is created at the center (5), inducing a high volume flow of surrounding air into the primary airstream. The combined flow of primary and surrounding air exhausts from the Air Amplifier in a high volume, high velocity flow.

Super Air Amplifier Systems
Super Air Amplifiers are available in four different model types:
  • Super Air Amplifier Only
  • Super Air Amplifier Kits - include a Super Air Amplifier, shim set, filter separator and pressure regulator (with coupler).
  • Deluxe Super Air Amplifier Kits - include a Super Air Amplifier, EFC, shim set, filter separator and pressure regulator (with coupler).
  • Super Air Amplifier Shim Sets - include (1) .006" (0.15mm) and (1) .009" (0.23mm) stainless steel shims (except 8" which include (1) .015"(0.39mm) stainless steel shim).
