The Gen4 Ion Air Cannon is ideal for hard-to-reach spaces or confined areas that require a concentrated flow of static eliminating ions. It's commonly used in applications such as bag opening, cleaning and neutralizing parts, pre-paint dust removal, and neutralizing shrink wrap operations.

How the Gen4 Ionizing Bar Works

The Gen4 Ion Air Cannon incorporates a Super Air Amplifier* and ionizing collar, energized by a power supply. A small amount of compressed air is injected into the barrel of the cannon (1) inducing a high volume flow of surrounding air to flow through it (2). A replaceable emitter point at the discharge end of the cannon (3) ionizes the entire airstream. The result is a high volume, conical flow of ionized air (4) capable of eliminating static and cleaning at distances up to 15 feet (4.6m). Because more than 90% of the ionized air is induced, the Gen4 Ion Air Cannon produces maximum airflow at minimum air consumption.

Gen4 Ion Air Cannon Models

Ion Air Cannon are available in four different model types:

Ion Air Cannon - includes the Super Air Amplifier, Emitter, Stand, and 5' (1.52m) length of armored and electromagnetically shielded cable.
Ion Air Cannon and Power Supply - includes an Ion Air Cannon and Model 7960 Power Supply (115 VAC/230 VAC, 50/60Hz).
Ion Air Cannon Kit - includes an Ion Air Cannon, shim set, Model 7960 Power Supply, filter separator and pressure regulator (with coupler).
Deluxe Ion Air Cannon Kit - includes an Ion Air Cannon Kit and EFC.

Power Supplies

The two-outlet (Model 7960) and four-outlet (Model 7961) Gen4 Power Supplies offer selectable voltage options, allowing you to choose between 115VAC or 230VAC. The modular cable includes electromagnetic shielding to safeguard sensitive electronics from interference and to facilitate easier connections and routing. Additionally, an integrated fuse on the primary side provides protection against voltage spikes. Both Gen4 Power Supplies are UL Component Recognized to US and Canadian Standards, and they are CE and RoHS compliant.

Shim Sets

The Ion Air Cannon comes with a .003" (0.08mm) thick stainless steel shim pre-installed, which is suitable for most applications. To increase the velocity of the Ion Air Cannon, you can replace the factory-supplied shim with a thicker one. Shim sets include one .006" (0.15mm) shim and one .009" (0.23mm) shim.
